Please use this form if you are interested in Performing as a musician on the Castle Stages at MMitD 2020. Performers on the Castle Stages don't receive a fee for performing, but do receive a package of benefits including a free Festival Pass. The only rule is that you must perform medieval music - which for our purposes means music sourced to between 500 and 1500 AD.
Performers are a crucial part of Medieval Music in the Dales. Basically, you agree to provide at least two musical performances over the course of the weekend - these are timetabled performances on the various Stages around Bolton Castle, and should last about 30 minutes each. In return, you get:
a free three-day Festival Pass, which gives you access to Bolton Castle from Thursday evening through to Sunday evening, as well as access to all the daytime concerts and talks at St Oswald's Church and the Bolton Castle Meeting Room
discounted prices on all the workshops, the evening concerts at St Oswald's, and the Sunday night Cabaret & Ceilidh (so long as these are booked in advance and subject, of course, to availability - please note, you will book for these through the box office as normal)
Finally, please be aware there is no fee for these performances. If you are interested in becoming a paid performer at future festivals, please do get in touch with your proposal and we'll happily consider you for the future
All performers must register individually using this form - even if you are part of an ensemble or band. If there are more than one of you, then one person in the group should act as the main contact, and there are a couple of things on the form that only need to be filled in by this main contact. It's all pretty obvious though...
Performer places are limited, so do please register your interest as soon as possible, and in any case before March 21st as that is when performer registration closes. Thanks!
