As well as the main Festival every September, Medieval Music in the Dales is involved with a few other events in and around Yorkshire.

From Monophony to Polyphony: Playing Medievally

A workshop with Ian Pittaway for singers and players of any instruments (not just medieval!). Ian is a hugely popular tutor at MMitD and this workshop is an opportunity to learn about and put into practice historically well-attested ways of 'playing medieval music medievally'. A North East Early Music Forum Workshop.

Bolton Castle, DL8 4ET
The Medieval Tavern

Join the minstrels for an evening of music, entertainment and general roistering in the medieval tavern at Bolton Castle. Fires and candles lit, pottage cooking, ales and wines at the bar. Ticket includes a pottage supper.
